It is a hypothesis, after all. It doesn’t have to come from anywhere. We’re just evaluating what consequences would ensue if this particular hypothesis were true, so that we can compare it to the real world evidence and see if it is more or less consistent with the truth than the Myth Hypothesis.

I presume you do not have similar objections to the Myth Hypothesis?

..in the Gospel Hypothesis, God’s desire is to have a genuine, personal relationship with people based on them knowing Him, and therefore His presence and actions in the real world will be such as to maximize their opportunity to know Him.

You said “..in the Gospel Hypothesis.” Where did you find this hypothesis? Where are you getting those ideas from? Can I take a look at the source material myself?
