I appreciated this post. There&#039;s a relevant verse in the book of Proverbs: &quot;Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings  healing.&quot; Indeed, a single cuss word, denigrating comment or baseless accusation is sufficient to derail an otherwise cogent discussion. Not to  mention such is judgmental and rude. Many people will just believe whatever is written about another, so we should be very, very cautious regarding who we accuse of things like lying, sophistry and arguing in bad faith.

BTW, caught a typo in your second pp: &quot;And while it &lt;i&gt;make&lt;/i&gt; be tempting at times...&quot;</description>
