"And all the congregation brought him without the camp, and stoned him with stones, and he died; as the LORD commanded Moses."

"And the Lord said unto Moses, Take all the heads of the people, and hang them up before the Lord against the sun, that the fierce anger of the Lord may be turned away from Israel. And Moses said unto the judges of Israel, Slay ye every one his men that were joined unto Baalpeor."

"And they warred against the Midianites, as the Lord commanded Moses; and they slew all the males.... And Moses was wroth with the officers of the host, with the captains over thousands, and captains over hundreds, which came from the battle. And Moses said unto them, Have ye saved all the women alive? .... Now therefore kill every male among the little ones, and kill every woman that hath known man by lying with him. But all the women children, that have not known a man by lying with him, keep alive for yourselves."

-----

"Thou shall not kill."

No contradiction there, right?

So post-Christian civilization leads to the exploitation of women? Right. After the Christians were so good as to give women the vote and equal pay, along came the filthy atheists and put them in brothels.

Note that Vox doesn't mention child abuse, which seems to be more of a religious thing. Or maybe the kids who were raped by priests and pastors deserved it in some way? In Vox's world anything is possible, no matter how much it outrages reason and common decency. That's what makes him so special.

Hm, When I read such things, I just get the inevitable impression, that faith can push you to the edge of madness and beyond if you're not careful. Independently of the IQ you possess.

gee i knew Vox day didnt like women at all, it's amazing that there's a man he dislikes more. Vox' apology for the Catholic chruch regarding the Nazis is just disgusting, by his logic if the sex slave women he purports to be concerned for don't bow to vox day, vox day has no responsibility to stop them being trafficked.

I think that Vox doesn't like Onfray because Onfray is a better writer than he is. I can only imagine how delightful and to the point Onfray's words would be in the original French. A typical passage from Onfray's book:

"In none of these places did I feel superior to those who believed in spirits, in the immortal soul, in the breath of the gods, the presence of angels, the power of prayer, the effectiveness of ritual, the validity of incantations, communion with voodoo spirits, hemoglobin-based miracles, the Virgin's tears, the resurrection of a crucified man, the magical properties of cowrie shells, the value of animal sacrifices, or prayer wheels. Never. But everywhere I saw how readily men construct fables in order to avoid looking reality in the face. The invention of an afterlife would not matter so much were it not purchased at so high a price: disregard of the real, hence willful neglect of the only world there is. While religion is often at variance with immanence, with man's inherent nature, atheism is in harmony with the earth - life's other name."

C'est magnifique!!
