		<description>Actually, I&#039;m reading Stephen Prothero&#039;s (badly needed) Religious Literacy right now, and he seems to think that predestination was a key element of the Protestant worldview until the Second Great Awakening (in, let me see, the first third of the 19th Century).  

Now there are a lot of things I don&#039;t know but, in this particular, how does one square predestination with a statement like &quot;free will is at the heart of the Christian faith&quot;?  Am I missing something?  The 19th Century seems awfully late in the game.</description>
